My (now) wife, Devonne, first messaged me on the site in early 2021. We began chatting and realized we wanted many of the same things in life, plus we only lived a couple hours apart which made meeting up much easier than it otherwise could have been.

We first met in person on April 1st, 2021 at a Mexican restaurant in a town that was in between where each of us are from. We enjoyed each other’s company so much that we decided to meet up again just two days later in my hometown at my favorite pizza joint!

We met for our third date a week later on April 10th, this time in her hometown at her favorite Japanese restaurant. I remember this date distinctly, as it was basically the moment we decided to make things “official” and begin seeing each other exclusively.

My (now) fiancé and I spoke for one day, April 1st, but I got into a relationship with someone else that eventually didn’t work out.

I remember writing a blog post on the site in June about heartbreak, and he read my post and we spoke online for five months. He was empathetic and kind, and he and I developed a trusting and compassionate friendship surprisingly quickly. In November, he flew out to California to see me for my birthday. This only confirmed for the both of us that we had something special and different, and we told each other we loved each other. He spent a week in the Bay Area before returning home.

Hey guys,

just wanted to share our story with you, two of us started seeing each other during the summer months and progressed into dating (after long time of no hope of any asexual dating!) All is going super well, we were 3hrs apart driving distance from each other, Dorset/Hertfordshire in the UK, but we just kept going and recently moved in together and life is just great and we are having great plans for the future:)
